Four local secondary schools participated in our annual golf competition for the Douglas Clementson Trophy at Colville Park Golf Course. The schools were invited to enter teams of four, with the best three scores counting towards the final result.
The schools were represented by:
Brannock High School - Jamie Clarkson, Scott Littlejohn and Callum Steele.
Cardinal Newman High School - Gerard Casey, Tony Cunningham and Mark McMillan.
Dalziel High School - Fraser Dickson, James Gray, Callum Lingie and Martyn Quigley.
Our Lady's High School - John Galloway, Grant Mackin, Daniel Macleod and Scott Rankin.
It was an ideal day for golf, overcast, but bright, with a light breeze spoiled only by a short rain shower at about 15.20!! The competition, played under stableford rules, was intense.
The trophy will be presented to the winning team, Our Lady’s High School, at the Club meeting on 3rd November at the Bentley Hotel, Motherwell.
