How We Are Changing Lives in Llanelli (and Beyond)

Empowering Local Youth

We believe in investing in the future. We champion local young people through exciting initiatives:

• Inspiring Competitions: We host local heats for national youth competitions, including Youth Speaks, Young Musician, Young Chef, Young Writer, and Young Photographer, giving young people the skills and confidence to shine.
• School Safety & Engagement: We’ve distributed bilingual (Welsh and English) 'Watch Out' safety books to local schools and we actively sponsor RotaKids (ages 7-12) and Interact (ages 12-18) clubs to nurture the community leaders of tomorrow.

Rapid Response & Hands-On Support

When our community or the world faces a crisis, we step up immediately:

Warmth for Winter: Through the Wrap Up UK initiative, our team rapidly established collection points across town, gathering and distributing warm coats to local residents in need.
International Relief: Thanks to the incredible generosity of Llanelli residents, we successfully raised and distributed £15,000 to deliver vital medical aid, generators and winter clothing to Ukrainian refugees and funded six ShelterBox survival tents for families affected by the Turkey/Syria earthquake.

Protecting Our Local Environment

We love our town and our planet and we take active steps to protect them:

• Beach Cleans: Weather permitting, you’ll find us at North Dock every month keeping our beautiful coastline pristine.
• Innovative Recycling: We tackle hard-to-recycle waste at the source, organising local collections for medical blister packs and old spectacles to ensure they are recycled responsibly.

Funding Vital Causes

Our fundraising events are legendary, full of energy and completely transparent. In the past year alone, our sponsored coastal bike rides, race nights and festive Christmas collections have raised thousands of pounds to directly support invaluable organisations like:

• Ty Hafan
• Llanelli Mind (supporting mental health)
• Llanelli Deaf Centre
• Myrtle House Food Bank (backed by our regular meeting donations)
• Marie Curie and local hospices
