The Rotary Club of Orkney is part of the 1010 District which stretches from Fife in the South to the Shetland Isles in the North, a small but vital part of the Rotary International organisation.
At present the club has 34 members.
An extremely active club, Orkney is involved in a wide range of events with very few weeks going past that there is not something happening, either events in the community such as the Santa Sleigh, bulb and tree planting, fund raising, youth events, or just having a fellowship meal with club members or fundraising for International Charities such as Shelterbox or Polio Eradication.
Weekly Meetings are held at the Lynnfield Hotel, each Thursday from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm. Come a little early to meet us if you have time, but we are always keen to see new faces so don't feel difficult if you arive nearer to 1.00 pm.
Orkney Rotary Club welcomes new members. If you are interested in finding out more about Rotary then please contact Keith Foubster on 01856 741 422 or 07818 542 700.
Visiting Rotarians will always find a warm welcome at our club with many coming regularly when in Orkney. Dress code is smart but casual, but come as you are as we will be glad to see you.
Chartered in 1967 with the help of nearby Wick Club, we pride ourselves in having a warm welcome for all visiting Rotarians and we hope to see you at one of our lunchtime meetings.
