About us

Skipton Rotary - RI District 1040

For nearly one hundred years, Rotary in Skipton has been involved in local, national and international community projects, volunteering and fundraising while at the same time having fun and socialising as a group. Like most Rotary Clubs, we meet once a week. For further details about our meeting venue, when we meet and how to find us, please see the information in the side panel.  You can also follow us @skiptonrotary on Facebook and Instagram.

Fun & Friendship

Skipton Rotary is a friendly club where we have as much fun as possible working together to make a positive difference to people’s lives within the community. We hope that the lives of the volunteers who join us will be enriched as they take part in a range of fundraising, formal and informal social events, visits and even foreign travel, forming friendships, by volunteering their expertise and often discovering new talents and interests.

Fundraising & Volunteering

We undertake a variety of fundraising events including weekend and bank holiday car parking at Skipton Building Society, quizzes, concerts, bicycle recycling auction, the Skipton Rotary Great Santa Fun Run, Christmas Market stalls, as well as many other fundraising events.

Get Involved

Our members volunteer their time and skills to plan fundraising and social events while enjoying each other’s company and friendship. There are several ways you can help us to ensure everything runs smoothly and to make the most of opportunities to raise money for the various charities we support.

You can learn all about Rotary's own charity - The Rotary Foundation - administerd and funded by Rotarians to support Rotary's efforts throughout the world.  This works all over the world funding disaster recovery plans, community development projects, youth schemes, End Polio Now and Rotary Peace Scholars.
