The Rotary Club of Helston-Lizard was chartered on 29 April 1987 with 28 members.  We currently have 35 active members plus 5 Honorary members.

The Club serves the community around the town of Helston and the Lizard Peninsula and is part of Rotary District 1175, covering 83 Rotary Clubs in the South West Peninsula of Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

  • 9/1/24.  The Club was pleased to welcome, Rtn. Gordon Smith, as its newest member of the Rotary Club.

  • 9/1/24.  Staff at Trevena Cross Garden Centre were recently able to present the Club with a cheque for £3500 following a very successful joint effort running the Santa at Trevena project in the run up to Christmas.  President Pete said, “This was a fantastic effort by a number of our members providing a memorable Christmas experience for the children of our local community, particularly after a 3-year post-pandemic gap in the project.  The kind donation by Trevena will prove a significant boost to the Club’s charitable work”.

  • 31/11/23.  The Club was pleased to welcome Rtn. Stuart McDougall as a new member of the Rotary Club.

What we've done... 

  • 30 September 2023.  The Club held its Harvest Auction at the Inn and Still, Coinagehall Street, Helston.
  • 4 July 2023.  Handover Evening.  Club Officers for 2022/23 handed over to the incoming team for 2023/24, led by Rtn Peter Mueller.
  • 4 July 2023.  The Club held a minutes silence following the sad news that Hon Rtn Ray Dunn had passed away on 3 July.
  • 1 July 2023.  Rtn. Peter Mueller became Club President for 2023/24.  Henry Dunstan is President Elect and Neil Cottingham is President Nominee.  Secretary Allan Loveday and Treasurer Roy Treloar continue for a further year.  The handover of regalia will take place on 4 July.
