2018 £500 Donation to Shoscombe defribillator project

The club has purchased and installed defibrillators at Radstock, Chilcompton, Coleford, Kilmersdon and Peasedown and in 2018 made a donation of £500 towards a new defibrillator for Shoscombe to be installed in this old phone-box

2018 Wessex Beer Festival

2018 Norton Fayre

We supplied 3 intrepid marshalls to help at the Norton Fayre and the m-Fest music festival held in Gullocks Tyning and the High Street in Midsomer Norton. The weather was glorious and the events were a great success

2018 Boules contest and sausage supper at the Vobster Inn

15 members and friends enjoyed a boules contest followed by a sausage and mash supper. The Keynsham and Saltford duo of Ali Moir and Steve Morris pipped Rod and Heather Langridge to win the champagne in the grand final.

2018 Kids Out

Every June Rotary together with KidsOut Charity take 25,000 disadvantaged children on a fun day out. This year our club took 2 coaches of children from Midsomer Norton, Chilcompton and Peasedown to Longleat and they had an incredible time

Pop-up shop at 89, High Street, Midsomer Norton

The club opened its first pop-up shop at 89 High Street Midsomer Norton in partnership with Age UK (BANES) in November 2016 and is actively looking for another shop in 2019.

OK it was an APC not a tank but 6 Rotarians spent a very enjoyable Saturday morning driving minis and the APC at ACF Leisure in the fields and slopes near Blagdon.

Reindeer Parade - December 2013

20 Rotarians helped with marshalling the Reindeer Parade in Midsomer Norton.

Charity Concert- November 2013

Maesteg and District Male Voice Choir and Bath Light Operatic Group gave a fantastic concert at the new Writhligton School Theatre on Saturday 9th November. Over 200 members and friends enjoyed the evening which made over £1,700 for charities.

Cheshire Home Open Day July 2013

On Saturday 20 July 2013 8 members of the club assisted by Jo Young and Sue Cosh ran the BBQ at the Timsbury Cheshire Home Open Day. Although attendance was lower than previous years, overall the home made over £1,200 - significantly more than last year

Kids Out June 2013

This is an annual event organised nationally by Rotary. Local schools are asked to nominate pupils who, for various reasons, would not normally have a day out. Our club provides and hosts two coaches to take pupils and their teachers or carers to Longleat

Cycle Challenge June 2013

60 members and friends took part in the annual cycle challenge which started in Midsomer Norton and made its way to Longleat via Nunney and Witham Friary. The return ride was via the Mells cycle track to a very successful BBQ at Roy Young's house.

Exmoor Challenge April 2013

The Exmoor Challenge is an annual event where members of all the clubs in our District 1200 compete with Devon and Cornwall district 1170 to complete a 6 or 12 mile walk on the Exmoor hills and to raise money for charity

Defribrillator installed at Chilcompton Village Hall October 2012

Defibrillator installed at Radco, Radstock Dec 2011

The photograph shows the first defibrillator installed at Radco, Radstock with President Anne Brook, Rotarian Maurice Chivers and Radstock Co-operative Manager Mark Brinkworth. The Radstock Defibrillator has been accessed three times.
