We are very proud to sponsor The RotaKids Club at St Albans CofE Academy in Wednesfield, which is the first RotaKids Club in Wednesfield and Wolverhampton.

Buddy Benches - St John's Primary Academy

With support from a Warburton's Grant we were able to supply another Buddy Bench to St John's Primary Academy in Essington.

Shoe Boxes

100 Shoe boxes have been delivered to International Aid in Cannock for which they were most grateful. 85 of these boxes were packed by Edward the Elder and Longknowle Primary schools and the remainder by various members and friends.

Wednesfield In Bloom !

Many of the purple crocuses (by the library and the amphitheatre for example) were planted by Wednesfield Rotary as part of the campaign to eradicate polio - #Purple4Polio

Little Lending Library

At St John's Primary Academy Essington, Author Natalie Pritchard officially opened the 'Little Lending Library'. We are pleased to see that the library we supported is now open for the children

Planting of Crocus Corms

With support from others, including Wednesfield In Bloom Members, we planted Crocus Corms in Wednesfield Park in October. Rotary clubs help to plant millions of purple crocuses every year to raise awareness for efforts to end polio.

A box for Christmas

Wednesfield Rotary Club have exceeded all expectations by delivering 60 plus Boxes for Christmas to the Good Shepherd.

St Johns Academy - Santa and his Elf & Art competition

Edward the Elder School and Santa

Santa has been very busy but still managed to visit children at Edward the Elder School. A great time was enjoyed by all !!

Sensory Garden at Edward The Elder Primary School

Wednesfield Rotary Club supported a project at Edward the Elder Primary School. Initially this will provide a "Sensory Garden" area for pupils to explore senses and develop an understanding of the curriculum relating to "growing and planting".

Presentation Evenings

We held two presentations evenings for local organisations.

Eradicate polio campaign and Tree of Remembrance

2,000 crocus corms we planted as part of the Rotary campaign to eradicate polio and on the same day a Tree of Remembrance was planted by Jennifer Hurlstone.

Long Knowle Primary School

The Prince’s Trust adopted the Long Knowle Primary School's Garden improvements as their Community Project and we were pleased to support this.

Supporting World Polio eradication

In October 2018, our Club marked World Polio Day by planting crocus bulbs. A few days later we planted with pupils at Long Knowle Infants School.

Purple For Polio

On Thursday 9th November at Wednesfield Community Centre & Library we planted purple crocus bulbs marking the progress of the eradication of polio worldwide

Rotary Young Musician competition 2018

Sunday 4th February 2018 saw the Wolverhampton Area Round of the Annual Rotary Young Musician competition

R.Y.L.A. camp

We continue to be an avid supporter of Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (R.Y.L.A. camp) with recently welcoming as speakers our Club’s 2016 candidate Maresha Grewal and Jack Webb, our 2017 candidate.

Next Step (West Midlands)

A great day was had by all at Greensforge Sailing Club in July, where we supported Next Step (West Midlands) by providing food and generally helping out on the day so that members can embrace a different type of experience and enjoy new challenges.

Wolverhampton Youth Orchestra and Youth Wind Orchestra
