Young Photographer of Mann Competition 2023

We organised the competition to encourage young photographers to express their views and produce their original viewpoints of the Island. Entries were judged by well known local photographers Ron Strathdee and Rotarian David Sylvester and prizes were presented by His Excellency Lieutenant Governor Sir John Lorimer.

The overall winner and recipient of the £250 first prize was Michael Van Zyl from Castle Rushen High School.

The winning photographs are now available in a calandar which can be purchased for £6 from local shops and at https://youngphotographerofmann.im/

All funds raised from the sale of the calandars will go to the Rotary Club of Rushen & Western Mann Charitable Trust which support charities and good causes.

We greatly appreciate the support from local businesses with each month of the calendar being sponsored individually by- Affinity Group, Manx Citizens Advice Service, Hockney Stevens, Celton Manx, MJC Guitars IOM, the Claremont Hotel, Hill Robinson, Crowe, Blackford, Atlas, EMCS and the Falcon’s Nest Hotel.
