Help for Afghan Refugees in our District

Every Club is encouraged to make contact with their local Council and register to help Afghan refugees who may be housed in their locality.Let me know how Clubs are actually helping so I can share good initiatives for replicating elsewhere.


Please acquaint your Clubs with the fact that the Good Exchange (the Greenham Trust) has set up a match funded appeal for the Afghan Refugees here:

The Good Exchange Afghan Refugee Appeal

They will match fund all donations up to a total of £25,000.

In addition taxpayers can claim Gift Aid on their donations so members may wish to make personal donations rather than using Club funds.
