Rotary Club Support for Bucks Young Carers

2020 has been a difficult year for Young Carers in our area.

Communication with Carers Bucks has had to be by Zoom and there has been little possibility for more personal support of these underprivileged children. The Young Carers Christmas Party, which we normally support, could not be held this year.

So Carers Bucks assembled 150 Christmas sacks of presents, games and decorations for distribution to Young Carers and their families. Princes Risborough Rotary Club donated £500 which allowed them to include a pack of biscuits in each sack.

We were asked to help with distributing the sacks and 8 Club Members assembled at Wycombe and Aylesbury to collect the sacks and address lists.

It was most gratifying to see the delight of each family on receiving their sack – many can’t afford to buy the things for Christmas that we take for granted. So it was very nice to provide a little Christmas cheer, and to support Carers Bucks in their important work.
