A “Ton” of Toys and more….!

With Christmas approaching, Huddersfield Rotarians decided to collect a “ton” of toys , new and good condition. They are taking the toys to a centre for sorting and distributing to families struggling at Christmas.

The collection is well in hand with already 100s of toys, books games and jigsaws collected and there is still time to go. The group is working with organisations who already are distributing food and goods to many people.

After an excellent zoom presentation by the Methodist Housing Association, members are also helping in the distribution of Sunday meals to their clients.

At the latest Rotary zoom meeting the Club enjoyed the world premiere of Gledholt Male Voice Choir concert put together by all the thirty members singing at home and then the experts making it into a video. The choir is open to offers from Rotary Clubs via zoom and their tape will shortly be on YouTube and shoppers at Morrison’s Wakefield Road store will be entertained with the video in the week before Christmas.
