Rotary Club of Birstall Luddiites
District 1040 Handover

Sat 7th July at Leeds United Executive Suite, Birstall Luddites District 1040
incoming DG Nigel Arthurs took the jewels of office from the past
District President Robert Morphet..
The evening was organised and run by the club with Nigel, Steve Gooder, John Sugden, Keith Davison
as Sergeant at Arms, club President Jeremy Parkinson said grace, Martin Simpson gave a speech
as historically he had done for the clubs two previous Luddite DGs Robert and Keith.
. The evening started with a glass of sparkling wine and the dinner followed.
The ceremony of Handover took place in the order of the Loyal Toast , Handover of DG Jewels, Club Banner Handover
from Bradford West RC, Handover of DGE Jewels to Manoj Joshi by Nigel. and final toast from DG Nigel Arthurs.
The evening entertainment followed with Phil Fryer "as Frank Sinatra".
And so Birstall Luddites Rotary Club has its third District 1040 District Governor.
And a good night was had by all!
