Group Trip to Paris

Thu, Sep 13th 2018 at 11:00 am- Sun, Sep 16th 2018 - 5:00 pm

We last went on this trip in 2007 or perhaps it was 2008. So in 2018 it is time to do it again!

Proposed group trip to Paris 13th to 16th September 2018

We last went on this trip in 2007 or perhaps it was 2008. This is the proposed itinerary:

Thursday 13th
Leave High Wycombe Station at circa 11.00 am for Marylebone then transfer to St
Pancras Intl. catch the Eurostar to Paris at circa 1.00 pm arrive Paris circa 5.00 pm

Paris times are 1 hour ahead GMT. Transfer to hotel then after a chance to freshen up Dinner at a cheap and cheerful (but very good) restaurant.l

Friday 14th
Free in day to explore as you will. Evening either a trip to Moulin Rouge for drinks and a cabaret or dinner at a restaurant.

Saturday 15th
Free in day as above and in evening a river trip on the Seine with dinner. Last time about 30 of us enjoyed a stunning evening.

Sunday 16th
Free in the morning but leave by Eurostar circa 1.00 pm to arrive in London circa 3.00pm. and High Wycombe by say 5.00 pm

Costs
The costs involved are £58 for Eurostar + Appx £150 pp hotel (3 nights) + Thursday evg Dinner £25 + Moulin Rouge £84 or Dinner at recommended restaurant £60 + Seine Dinner Cruise £69 Total pp £386 inc MR or £362 dinner not MR.

Further Information
We will all have to buy tickets to/from High Wycombe - Marylebone appx £15 pp and travel in Paris will be by Metro (Much cheaper than London Tube) and in the daytime you can explore by foot or get on a tourist bus which allows you to get on and off at will.

There are countless bars near our hotel where no doubt we will congregate. I am in touch with Robert Buller (David's son) who lives in Paris and who will recommend a good 3 or 4* hotel and a restaurant for Friday evening.

Either put your name and number of guests on the board going round at our meetings or click here to sign up on line and if there is sufficient interest I will update the itinerary to include exact costs and timings etc. Where Euros are quoted by the various concerns I have used current rate of exchange of Euros 1.10 = £1. this of course may vary by the time we leave.
