Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Bombay Kandivli visit Dunbar

On Monday 12th June, The Rotary Club of Dunbar welcomed a party of Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Bombay Kandivli to its weekly meeting.  Krishna and Aparna Chatuverdi, Deepa and Rajesh Goenka and Ramesh Chandra and his wife Chandrakala Devi had been the guests of Rotary District 1020 (the South and East of Scotland) for the last few weeks and were currently being hosted by members of Eyemouth and District Rotary Club.  The group were given a rousing Scottish welcome to the Hillside Hotel by Pipe Major David Laird in full Highland regalia.  Deepa Goenka, who was President of the Rotary Club of Bombay Kandivli in 2015-16, gave an interesting presentation, illustrated with photographs and video clips, about the projects and activities with which her club is involved.  President Bob McKinnon of Dunbar thanked Deepa for her talk and also thanked their hosts from the Eyemouth Club who had accompanied their guests on their visit to Dunbar.  President Bob and Past-President Deepa made the traditional exchange of club banners before Bob wished our guests a happy continuation of their visit to Scotland.
