Reports from our 16/17 AGM highlighted the vibrancy of the Rotary Club of Crowthorne and Sandhurst and successes achieved this year:
25% increase in members – welcome to Carol, Erica, John and Ian
£9,701.53 raised
12 fundraising activities
£2,000 to be donated to President’s charity, COATS, which promotes the welfare of seniors in Crowthorne
Strong focus on supporting local charities including:
  • COATS, which provides day activities for seniors in Crowthorne
  • Crowthorne HopeZone that holds afterschool drop-in clubs twice a week
  • Sandhurst Day Centre for seniors in the Bracknell Forest Area
  • Crowthorne Summer Activities, which provides summer Friday afternoon activities for children in the village
  • Edgbarrow and Sandhurst Schools – student prizes
  • 4th Crowthorne Guides - for equipment to enable Guides to attend international jamboree
  • Crowthorne CofE Primary - for play equipment
  • Owlsmoor Scouts - in thanks for their support at our New Year's Day Walk
Increased support for Rotary’s Anti-polio activities - £907.92
Our first away weekend (to France) ensured fellowship wasn’t neglected
Thank you to President, Geraldine and her Council for their leadership. And we look forward to our President-elect, Sian, unveiling her plans for 17/18 at the upcoming Club Assembly.
