Golf Day April 20th 2017 raises over £7,000 for local charities

Rotarian Tom Winkworth was once again the driving force behind a successful Charity Golf Day. The event was held at Whiteleaf Golf Club on Thursday 20th April , 20 teams of 4 players had entered and the first 4 ball set off at 8.00am. The course was in excellent condition and in spite of the showers everyone enjoyed the challenge.
Our thanks go to Barclays plc who matched the raffle takings of over £1000 together with the Auction Items and 4 Ball Vouchers. Dinner in the evening plus prize giving rounded off a hugely successful day in which over 7 thousand pounds was raised for worthy causes.
