Whittington School Pupils Support Rotakids End Polio Now!

Thu, Jul 14th 2016 at 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Over 3 days, the pupils of Whittington Primary School have completed sponsored walks to support the Rotakids End Polio Now! fundraising campaign,

Years 2 and 4 from Whittington School took part in their sponsored walk today and, unlike the group on the previous day, remained dry. The walk, by all school years on different days, was in aid of the Whittington School Rotakids group's efforts to support End Polio Now!  They all came dressed in the pyjamas today,  including the teachers, which I did not know about (thank goodness).

Rotakids mentor Rotarian Don Howard reports that the sponsorship to date is just over £400 with Gift Aid boosting the total to just under £500.  A great amount for a smallish school - thank you!

The photos show some Year 4 pupils afterwards. The two on the right hand end are Rotakids - Sam and Elsie.
