District 6600 GSE team visit

During the last week of March, the Rotary Club of Dunbar was delighted to host the members of the visiting GSE team from District 6600 in Ohio.  Dr Julie McIntosh, Emily Goetschius, Sarah Jackson, Emily Sanlow and Joy Walk had spent the month of March in Scotland being hosted in turn by Rotary Clubs in Linlithgow, Biggar and Dumfries before they arrived on Tuesday 22nd March for their final stop in Dunbar.  In addition to spending time on an activity related to their area of professional interest, they visited such diverse locations as Belhaven Brewery, The Seabird Centre, Glenkinchie Distillery, Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument, as well as several of East Lothian’s historic castles.  Sarah Jackson took the opportunity to try out rowing in the Dunbar skiff, the Black Agnes.  On Monday 28th March, members of Dunbar Rotary Club met the team members at McArthurs Stores for a farewell drinks reception and exchange of club banners.
