Kop Hill Climb 2015

The amazing amount of £75,000 has been raised for local charities by the event this year.

Princes Risborough Rotarian John Biggs, the organiser of the event, said

"I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who visited the event, and made it possible to raise such a fantastic sum for charity: the spectators who came in their 1000's, the wonderful support from sponsors and exhibitors, and of course the entrants, who brought their cherished vehicles for us to see. A big thank you also to the hundreds of volunteers, without whom the event just couldn't take place. I think Kop Hill Climb is the best value event for £10 anywhere in Buckinghamshire."

There were record visitor numbers of around 16,500, and near perfect weather for the two-day extravaganza of cars, motorcycles and the special festival atmosphere that attracts car enthusiasts and families alike.

Hits of the show

This year we had our most spectacular collection of historic race cars running the hill including the awesome Napier-Railton bringing history to life from the Brooklands Museum and the 1922 Isle of Man TT winning Sunbeam Grand Prix Car.

The Peter Lewis Trophy, voted for by you, as the car most would like to take home, went to Ian Tomlinson's very rare and beautiful Triumph Italia which he had brought all the way from Kendal in the Lake District.

The Soapbox event was the biggest yet with 18 teams. The new "Rookie Racers" won the inaugural Beaumont Cup in memory of our dear friend and organiser Andy Beaumont.

If that didn't entertain the children then the steam fair and helter-skelter certainly did, providing a beautiful and iconic look to the children's entertainment area.

Princes Risborough Rotary Club provided over 30 volunteers as well as playing a key role in managing the event.
