We welcomed to the meeting Guest speaker Kath Price of the Young Carer’s Support Service.
John Williams introduced our speaker Kath Price (who resides in the Green, Denbigh) who gave us a comprehensive, illustrated introduction into the problems that can be encountered by Young Carer’s.
WCD is a voluntary organization and Charity (launched in 1995) supporting Young Carer’s throughout the counties of Wrexham, Conwy and Denbighshire.
Kath told us that in a Population of 93,734 in Denbighshire, there are 19,493 aged 18 or under, and, of that 1,560 are Young Carer’s aged 18 or under.
Support is given in many ways ….
Respite breaks /Assessments / Emergencies/ Financial advice/ Managing Medicines/ School/trips/ After School Groups/ Counselling/ Transport……
Following a number of questions by Rotarians, Kath was thanked by Philip EJ.
