Thame Rotary"™s latest community project: Brian"™s Seat on Phoenix Trail

Jeannette Matelot Green, Mayor of Thame, and Linda Emery, President of the Rotary Club of Thame, inaugurated "Brian"™s Seat", a new public bench on Phoenix Trail, near Windmill Road, for the benefit of the local community, on Wednesday, 29 April 2015
The idea belongs to Brian Matthews, one of Rotary Club of
Thame’s members, who persuaded his fellow club members to bring his vision to
life. He and his neighbours living around Windmill Road can now relax on the
seat viewing Thame’s country side. Rotary Club
of Thame is grateful to Haddenham Beer Festivals Trust who sponsored the cost
to make the seat, The Forge in Thame who made it, Spruced Up who installed it
on Phoenix trail. We are also grateful to our Rotarians Jim Stanbridge and
Peter Hook who managed this project and of course to Brian Matthews for his
idea.
