A day of sharing and learning what is working within our District to grow Rotary.

Growing Rotary Day

Saturday 28th February 2015

Carluke Lifestyles Centre

9.30 am registriation for 10.00 am start.       To Register Click HERE

District  Membership & MPRC Committee extend an invitation to you to participate in a day of sharing and learning of what is working within our District to grow Rotary. A key feature of this event is that  we will not be discussing “The Problem” but rather focussing upon success stories, people like you who have found solutions, implemented a plan successfully or made a real difference. There will be very few powerpoint presentations so delegates will be fully engaged in discussions. That way we can all learn in a positive environment, share ideas and build plans to help us all take Rotary forward. All that we ask is that you come with an open mind, ready to participate fully so that you and all the other delegates find the time devoted truly worthwhile.

The event will start at 09.30am with coffee, bacon roll  and registration and we plan to start first session at 10.00am. There will then be sessions/workshops throughout the day and the event will finish at approximately 4.00pm. A light lunch will be provided. There is no registration fee. In summary the day will cover:

•         Membership schemes, Corporate, Associate and how we can use the Satellite scheme  for club extension. Clubs will give short talks on how they are using schemes.
•         Promoting the Rotary Brand, use of social media, websites and a local press speaker to show us how to present information and pictures to the press for publication.
•         Presentation from schools on Rotakids and we will also hear from the pupils on benefits to them.
•         Various workshops and a walkabout session on a variety of areas to assist us in Growing Rotary in our clubs.

The day is shaping up well  with a number of clubs offering to give a short 5 min talk on the Associate & Corporate schemes within their club, however we are still looking for some more clubs to give a talk on these schemes and also if you have a company/organisation who could give the audience the reasons  why they signed up to the Corporate scheme with your club.  If your club or corporate/associate  member can be of any assistance on the day please can you send an e-mail to either peter.croan@gmail.com or archie@protrol.co.uk

All we would request is that you have a discussion about the event this week at your club and encourage as many of your members to attend. Your Assistant Governor or Area Membership Co-ordinator will follow up in about a week's time so that we can have an approx number for catering purposes.

We look forward to welcoming as many of you to Carluke Lifestyles centre on the 28th February 2015, if you have any questions about the event please do not hesitate to get in touch with either the Membership Chairma Peter Croan or MPRC Chairman Archie Ralston.
