The judges were Sanjay Kumar (County Arms and a good friend of Truro Boscawen), Dale McIntosh (Head Chef, Merchant Manor Hotel, Falmouth), and Phil Oakes (Catering Tutor at Cornwall College), who took into account the final dishes, as well as the preparation, costing and hygiene standards of each contestant. |

The winner was Joe Hayes, who served his meal on wooden boards. The starter was bruschetta with homemade pesto, parma ham and sunblushed tomato. The main course was baked Cornish mackerel on crushed new potatoes with olive salad, and the pudding a white chocolate tart with creme fraiche and raspberries. His prize was a 50 Argos voucher, a voucher for a family meal and swim at Merchants Manor, and a day's work experience with Sanjay Kumar cooking for the Foodbank

Second was Elena Slavoni, with a starter of butternut squash and Cornish gouda arancini with freshly made aioli and deep fried sage. Her main course was Cornish monkfish wrapped in parma ham on a bed of mash potato with samphire and beurre blanc, finishing with a treacle tart with lavender and crme fraiche quenelles. Elena won a 25 Argos voucher and a day's experience at Cornwall College with Philip Oakes. |

Lottie's meal was crowned by profiterole swans, filled with whipped cream and chocolate garnache, displayed on a mirror to simulate water and reflection. The starter was a roast vegetable stack with grilled halloumi and lime drizzle. Her main course was duck on creamed potato, with plum sauce and green beans. |

Sally cooked a starter of roast peach and parma ham salad, a steamed salmon fillet with sweet chilli rice and Mediterranean style vegetables, and a low calorie chocolate malteser mousse pudding. |
Both Joe and Elena will go on to the Regional Final at Minehead on 14 March. The Rotary GB&I final will be held iat Wrexham.
Rotary Club of Truro Boscawen members and their wives were kind enough to volunteer their time and did the washing up/clearing up for the contestants as they cooked.
