Hear Anne Wafula-Strike at Telford

Don't miss this inspirational speaker on Sunday 8 March

Another Great Speaker for Conference!

We are delighted to announce that Anne Wafula-Strike MBE has confirmed that she will be speaking at Conference ’15, at Telford on Sunday March 8th

Anne was born as a healthy child in Kenya, but contracted Polio at the age of two. She overcame the superstitions of her native village, and eventually graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree.

In 2004, she was the first wheelchair racer from East Africa to compete in the Paralympics. Having obtained British citizenship in 2006, she competed for Team GB.

Her autobiography In my Dreams I Dance was published in 2010 and won the BBC’s My Story award. Anne was awarded an MBE in 2014 for her services to disabled sport and has recently been appointed a Non Executive Director to the Board of UK Athletics.

We are delighted that Anne will be joining us at Telford. Read more about her by visiting www.annestrike.org
