Movember, Movember the fifteenth of ....

Building on the success of last year’s event, the Rotary Club of Billericay again hosted a major community project in St. Mary Magdalen, Billericay High Street, on Saturday, 15 November 2014 to mark Cancer Awareness Day.

Before an audience of Rotarians and Billericay residents, we welcomed back Mr Anil Vohra, senior consultant at NHS and private hospitals in the immediate area, who we are so fortunate to secure for this valuable event. At our special invitation, Mr Vohra put his expert knowledge to advising how to accept, understand and deal with prostate cancer.

The event was aimed mainly at male participants aged 50 plus. But that does not exclude young and old, male and female alike. Members of all our local Rotary Clubs have already been directly invited and ALL OTHERS WERE WELCOME.

The event started at 11.30 for 12.00 am with a light refreshments and a video presentation followed by a chance to ask questions in an informal but confidential setting.
