Stan Keller takes the helm as Rotary District Governor - cutting followed by text below
ROTARY - Stan Keller takes the helm as Rotary District Governor covering Essex, North East Hertfordshire and the Eastern edge of Greater London with around 1700 Rotarians in 59 Clubs.
Stan has a number of plans for his year as District Governor:
"Polio eradication remains the number one goal. The aim is to complete the task by 2018. Other projects I am hoping the District will come together on include 'Send a Cow' to Kenya, and a cycle ride for prostate cancer. Another project is support for Giggle Doctors who cheer up sick children in hospitals. At present they are working in Broomfield in Chelmsford but I am hoping to extend this to Basildon, Southend and Colchester and other Essex hospitals."
Stan has been a member of Chelmsford Rotary Club since 1996 and an active member of the District team for the last ten years. He and his wife Sheila live in Chelmsford. They have four grown-up children and 10 small grandchildren. Stan established and still runs Graphic Impressions, a print and graphic design company in Chelmsford, and somehow finds time for various trusts and charities over and above Rotary.
It's going to be a busy year but one that Stan is looking forward to and plans to give his all.
