Len Smith Cup for Vocational Service
Rotary GB&I Past President Len Smith presented this cup for annual competition as an incentive to encourage clubs to promote vocational service. It is the avenue of service that makes Rotary different from the many other organisations and charities but is often overlooked as it is largely an individual personal commitment. This cup is for the best club project or programme in vocational service.

Entries from clubs to be made via District Vocational Chairmen to be at Rotary GB&I secretariat by email to andys@ribi.org by midday 15th March 2013. Judging will be by the Rotary GB&I Vocational Service Committee by 31st March 2013. The Cup will be presented at the Rotary GB&I Conference in Harrogate on 12th -13th April 2013 to the president of the club or their nominated representative. More information can be found on the Vocational Service  page of the  Rotary GB&I website.

4.  Candidates wanted for outgoing Scholarship, 2014-2015

DGE Alistair Marquis has decided that sufficient funds are available to award an outgoing scholarship in the next Rotary year. This is an exciting opportunity for a local student to further their education abroad. We are looking for clubs to find and put forward students in their area suitable for consideration.

Applicants should be graduates - though final year students can also be considered -  have proven experience of volunteering or working in one or more of the Rotary Foundation's areas of focus and should indicate that their future career plans include working in an area of focus. More details of scholarships can be found on the RI website.
