1. Flashmobs : World Polio Day, 24th October 2013
DG Kate would like to know if your club is planning a flashmob event, either on your own or with other clubs, with Rotakids, Interact or Rotaract.
The flashmob should be taking place on or near 24th October 2013, World Polio Day.
As these events are planned to take place throughout Rotary GB&I we are planning to produce press releases, flyers and other support materials for everyone to access, in order to get the most publicity out of these events.
Please send DG Kate an email ( to rotary@keterthomson.co.uk) this week, if possible, with all the details
2. District Conference : Ayr 25th - 27th October 2013
The closing date for registration of both Full and Day delegates is 30th September 2013.
This is to enable catering and transport arrangements to be confirmed with the providers.
Please note that you will not be able to register as a delegate on the day at Ayr.

3. District Governor Nominee Election update
The election is now under way and just under thirty percent of electors have voted. The poll will close at noon on Friday 4 October.
All club secretaries and those with an individual vote [the District Executive, District Committee Chairmen, the District Editor and PDGs] will have received an email from Rotary Voting System <info@rotaryvote.org> which contains a unique link to the system. This was sent out on Monday 9 September. If you are expecting to vote and have not received this, please check your spam mail. The link from this email is the only way to cast your vote.
Club votes are weighted according to member numbers as at July 2013. When the vote is cast, it will carry the weight which has already been recorded on the system and has been thoroughly checked for accuracy.
