Scotland and NE England Regional Final
In front of a packed house at Newbattle Abbey on Sunday the 7th April, District 1020 competitors took three of the four top places in the Scotland and NE England Regional Final of the Rotary GB&I Young Musician of the Year. Connor Smith (Currie Balerno) won the voice competition, with Sophie Halpin (Bathgate) the runner-up; and Catriona Clark (Castle Douglas) was the runner-up in the instrumental competition. Laura Ayoub (Ditrict 1230) won the instrumental competition.
