Sam Vere with WNSC Tutor Steve Wright

From a field of 7 students, the overall winner, as chosen by Huw Davies photographer of the Oswestry Advertiser, was Sam Vere, aged 17 from Llanfechain.  Sam, seen above with WNSC tutor Steve Wright, is an A Level student of Chemistry, Photography and Graphics.  The winning photograph is below on the subject "Black and White".

The slideshow above shows all the entries for each subject for each competitor.

9.30-11.30 first session - 3 topics - 'Black and White', 'Contained' and 'Spillage'
11.30-1.30 second session - 3 topics - 'Inside Out', 'Movement' and 'Obstacle'
1.30-3.30 third session - 3 topics - 'Colourful', 'Community' and 'Double'

Photomarathon Event - What Happened?

The Rotary Club of Oswestry and Walford and North Shropshire College have joined forces to organise a Photomarathon. A Photomarathon is a photographic competition with a difference. Entrants will have a total of 6 hours during which time they will be required to take 9 separate pictures portraying 9 different topics.

At 9.30am on November 7th entrants will need to turn up at Qube, Oswestry armed with a digital camera, the camera
