Car Rally parking for the VSCC near Whitton

Sun, Oct 14th 2012 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Today we helped out the Vintage Sports Car Club with parking for visitors to their annual Hill Climb in Cwm Whitton, between Knighton and Presteigne.

We had a great turn out from Club members in support of this very worthwhile event. Most of us arrived at 10am to help set up signs and sort out the route that both spectators and competitors would take with their vehicles.

Ian, Adam and Kevin directed spectator traffic from the road; Ivan, Dorothy and Cathy directed traffic and collected money at the lower field gate; and Brian, Kim, Clive, Chris, Patrick, Paul and Norman had the job of directing and parking cars in the top field. Patrick, Ian and Ivan became very dab hands with the walkie-talkies!

Most people were very generous and contributed
