Poppy Scotland helps ex service personnel

Did you know that Poppy Scotland can offer help to ex service personnel who are having problems? They have teamed up with Citizens Advice Bureaux in Scotland to offer assistance with physical and emotional problems as well as giving support to those who find themselves with severe financial difficulties. 

Fundraiser Marianne Craig gave an interesting and thought provoking talk to the Galashiels Club recently when she explained the background of Poppy Scotland and how it has evolved from the Earl Haig Poppy Fund. Veterans of all campaigns and others who may not have seen active service while in the forces but are now in need of some support can be helped in many ways. Marianne illustrated her talk with an emotive case study of someone whose life had been turned round with help from Poppy Scotland.
