Young Chef

Please contact your local High Schools as soon as possible to encourage their food technology teachers, who can run a local competition at their schools, so we can have a strong number of entry in our District final this year. All key dates are detailed below. It is suggested that the individual schools’ winners should be decided in late November early December. If you need help with judging or advice please let one of the organisers know.

A reminder that there is a £15.00 entry fee per competitor into the district final. The task is to create a three course meal for two people at a cost of up to £20 for ingredients, which is also funded by sponsoring rotary clubs .

Rotary Young Citizen Awards 2018-19

These awards recognise young people under the age of 25 who have demonstrated their commitment to citizenship, goodwill and understanding through various activities.

The awards can be for individuals or groups, for projects and initiatives that showcase positive citizenship and the important responsibilities assumed by young people.

Winners receive trophies and a £500 prize for their chosen charity.

Nominees do not necessarily have to be working on a Rotary project to be eligible, they just have to be recognised by a local Rotary club as worthy of nomination.
