Young Chef National Winner

Tabitha Steven, RGBI Young Chef 2017

Youngest Ever Young Chef Winner

Tabitha Steven

13 year old Tabitha, a pupil at the High School of Glasgow, has become the youngest ever winner of the Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland Young Chef Competition at the final in Lincon College. A tremoundous achievement in an event that started with over 5000 competitors.

Tabitha, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Glasgow, impressed the judges with here spectacular three course menu of asparagus soup, seared sea bass served with courgetti in a tomato and basil sauce and finished with a vanilla pannacotta acompanied by mint roasted rhubarb, rhubarb pure and baked crumble. Shurely worthy of an entry in MasterChef.

No one was more surprised at her sucess than Tabitha herself who said:-

“When I found out I had won I was so shocked,
I didn’t even think I would place.”

I'm sure everyone in the West of Scotland would like to add their support to the comment made by Morag McIntosh, President of the Rotary Club of Glasgow,

"We wish Tabitha the best of luck for the future - we know she'll go far."
