Welcome to Coulsdon Manor Rotary

An overview of your local Rotary Club - Who we are, what we do, and why?

We have a wide and interesting reach in what we do.

Let’s start with raising funds to help those in need, near and far as part of the Rotary family in the UK and around the world.

We organise and run the annual Old Coulsdon Village Fair with close to a hundred stalls, games and side-shows, a classic car display, dog show and a programme of arena displays by local schools, clubs and societies.  The 3,000 or so visitors, young and old alike, have a great fun July afternoon.

Our Father Christmas door-to-door Christmas Collection, with the support of the Scouts, NSPCC, Cancer Support, WI, Friends of Grange Park and the Air Cadets, takes us to some 2.500 households in Coulsdon and Old Coulsdon. We also do static collections in Coulsdon Brighton Road and the Parade in Old Coulsdon. With Quiz Nights, wine and cheese, the Old Coulsdon Christmas Light switch-on and other events, we raise significant funds for charity.

We support local schools with speaking and cooking competitions, outward bound course sponsorship and by presenting encyclopedic dictionaries to Primary School leavers.

Internationally, we contribute to major disaster recovery programs, and donate shelter and water purification equipment for destitute regions. We support repayable loans for local business development in poor countries via Lendwithcare and enjoy a close relationship with our twinned Rotary Club of Bailleul-Yser-Lys in northern France.
