Shoeboxes filled with items by Rotary Clubs to support front-line communities in Ukraine

Thank you to those Rotary Clubs in the District who have supported our Ukraine shoebox initiative. This morning, 300 shoeboxes containing items for front line communities, along with boxes of medical supplies, were loaded on to Steve Hodgson's transport vehicle with the help of Brambledown Landscape Services Ltd in Brandon Village. They now begin their long journey to their destination and we are so grateful to Steve who will be making the delivery to Odessa from where the items will be distributed. Steve works tirelessly and in difficult conditions to carry out deliveries of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. Thank you from us all Steve and we wish you a safe journey. Our appreciation also goes to Helene Kell for her ongoing support and for the help given to prepare the pallets in preparation for transport.
