Social evening at The Cosy Club

Mon, Jan 20th 2020 at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Meet at 7pm, there will be food. OPT-IN to Colin by Friday.

Just 17 members met at the Cosy Club for a social evening. After about 45 minutes chatter we sat down to a varied selection of Tapas.

Then John Binns briefly showed us a few of his holiday slides – he’d been in Hong Kong during the street demonstrations around Christmas and New Year. It gave a new insight on events that most had only read about in the media and led to an interesting discussion about Hong Kong, China and the British Empire.

A renewed appeal was made for people willing to take a turn at writing the Tuesdaygram. David Janes does not feel able to continue so there are now only two regular scribes.

The Ball draw was won by Malcolm Turner (not present) so just 4 cards left for next week.

Next week’s meeting (Jan 27th) at SCCC 1875 Club (St James St side) will be a business meeting together with an interview style My Job talk.

DR Trevor Spurway SF Roger Mason.

Feb 5th – Breakfast meeting at Mr Miles.
