Join us for an afternoon of fun to get you in the festive spirit and raise vital funds for St Mary’s Hospice. It’s not a race, but there will be the opportunity to time your run – so you can run, jog, walk or jingle all the way!


Our FIRST Run completed, 80 Santas' took part, the youngest with Mum "Santa" in a buggy. All had lots of fun and hope to be back again next year when it will be even bigger. Thanks to all who took part.

Join us for an afternoon of fun to get you in the festive spirit and raise vital funds for St Mary’s Hospice. It’s not a race, but there will be the opportunity to time your run – so you can run, jog, walk or jingle all the way!

  • Registration: Arc Building (Shop at the entrance of Barrow Marketing) Portland Walk, Barrow-in-Furness LA14 1HU
  • Timings: Registration opens at 1.30pm and Santa Dash starts at 2.30pm with a warm up beforehand at 2.20pm
  • Timing Chips will be issued on registration.

Pricing Structure:

  • £15 per adult with a minimum £30 sponsorship
  • £5 per child (under14) with a minimum £10 sponsorship
  • £25 per family of 4 with a minimum of £50 sponsorship

This price includes a free Santa Suit, timing chips and a medal at the end. During registration you can elect which St Mary’s Hospice shop you wish to collect your Santa Suit from, the shops are in Barrow, Dalton, Grange over Sands, Millom and Ulverston.

Registration on the day will increase to £20 per adult, £10 per child.

Who can take part?

Everyone! The route through Barrow Town Centre is flat and accessible. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs sorry.

Can I bring friends and family along?

Of course! To avoid disappointment, anyone wanting to take part should register before 16th November. If you register on the day, the price will be £15 per person and we cannot guarantee to time your run. There will be entertainment and refreshments throughout the town centre, so be a fun day for all the family.

What should I wear?

A  Santa Suit of course (included in your entry fee) and they can be picked up from: St Mary’s Hospice Charity Shops, but depending on the weather, we recommend warm layers and waterproofs (ponchos will be available for a small donation), as well as trainers of comfortable shoes.

Finish

All Santa’s should report to The Forum on completion of the “Dash” where they can exchange their timing chips for a finishers medal. Afterwards, why not stay and enjoy the Christmas Lights Switch On !

Fastest Male, Fastest Female, Fastest Boy (under 14) and Fastest Girl (under 14) will be announced on social media and this website and prizes will be awarded !
