Visit of DG Peter Hamilton

Today at breakfast we welcomed our District Governor for 2019-20, Peter Hamilton from the Pembrey and Burry Port club.  Peter based his talk to us around the five themes highlighted by this year's Rotary International's President Mark Maloney:  Grow Rotary;  Change Rotary;  Involve our Families; Keep a Rotary/Life Balance; and in all this Have Fun.  Fundamental to all this is increasing general Awareness of what Rotary is and what it does.  Tell the Rotary story as it is today, particularly our successes in humanitarian projects throughout the world, starting with the "End Polio Now" campaign which is so close to completion.  Nearer to home, Peter's own objectives are to help reduce isolation and loneliness, and reduce the pollution of our shores and rivers by plastic.
