Wickford on Crouch!

Wickford Rotary gets on board on the River Crouch; although they had to go to Burnham to actually get on the water!

Wickford Rotary went for an evening's sail on the Crouch recently. Of course, while the Crouch actually runs through Wickford, we had to pick up the boats at Burnham, as thankfully there wasn't enough water in the river at Wickford....

Thanks to Bill and Peter who were our skippers for the evening we had a pleasant sail down the Crouch and up the Roach, seeing seals basking in the sunshine, and beautiful scenery.

As it was a sporting event we had to give up on the jellyfish racing as we couldn't get the harnesses on the jellyfish we caught, and to make matters worse someone cheated at the popping the seaweed competition.....
