Rotary Club of Stirling Report – Meeting 13^thSeptember 2019

President Sandy Farquharson welcomed members.

Although the meeting was poorly attended, members were delighted to hear that one of our longest serving members Sandy Morrison was married during the week and a glass was raised to cheer this excellent news.

The president appealed for more volunteers to come forward to help steward a charity 10K run on 6^th October. He reported that he had presented a cheque to the Arion Swimming Club and it was a great pleasure to witness the delight and enthusiasm of their members.

The area final primary school quiz will be held on 21^stMarch at Stirling University.

The President has been approached by another club in the Netherlands who are planning to visit next year with their partners and he suggested an evening meeting on 21^st May. Sandy Leven appealed for support with plant watering on the station on Tuesday.

The meeting concluded with an entertaining Scottish place names quiz.
