Cheque presentation to the Roald Dahl's Children's Charity
At our weekly breakfast meeting on Wednesday 24th July a cheque of £912.00 was presented to the Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.
The Charity supports seriously ill children and their families. Roald Dahl nurses provide support to the whole family unit as well as to the children.The Charity has given out 86 grants in the last six months for items such as an epilepsy monitor or other specialist equipment to families in real need.
The money was raised by the Misbourne Matins Rotary Club by organising a Bridge afternoon. The £912.00 will pay for 36 hours of specialist nursing care from a Roald Dahl Nurse, which will ensure families with seriously ill children can access specialist equipment, enabling the children to stay out of hospital as much as possible.
