VGT 2019

This was our tenth Annual Competition and once again the talent was amazing.


Auditionswere held on 21st & 22nd September 2019, Semi-Finals 12th October & 9th November 2019 and The

Grand Final on Saturday 30th November 2019.

The Winners and recipients of £300 first prize were HARRIET WATKINSON & TILLY BELTON from Flintham, who delivered a compelling performance of  "My heart will go on" from the film 'Titanic' in a professional, passionate and well harmonised style. "In five years of judging, the most moving performance yet" said Chair of Judges

In second place, winning a cheque for £150 was OLIVIA TURKI, a solo Tap Dancer who attends Bilborough College. She performed an energetic tap dance called "Messie Bessie" taken from the Musical called " Five guys named Mo".  Her very impressive tap-dancing skills were complemented by an expressive and animated delivery, which helped tell the story.

Third Prize of £100 went to JOE CHEETHAM an eighteen year old guitarist who has been playing the guitar since he was 10. Joe played a medly of tunes, mixing his ownwork with some clasical Heavy Rock and incorporating a "tongue in cheek" Christmas tune in the Middle.

Next the Highly commended performers:

SERAN SKELTON a thirteen year old from Long Clawson who performed a medley of " Put your records on" and "All or nothing" delivered in a wonderfully relaxed style. She was commended for her good diction, vocal and guitar agility and showing great promise for the future.

NEON GLEE regular entrants from Brooksby Melton colleg delivered ahigh energy synchronised performance, combining dance action, acting and great close harmonies which made the judges just sit back and smile with enjoyment.

Finally the BELVOIR WASSAILERS a charity fund raising choir from the Vale of Belvoir who performed an American Trilogy with Elvis associations.  The judges loved their tight harmonies, the dynamics between the voices and the light and shade of their singing.

more In our 6th VGT the winners, Fly Dance from Brooksby Melton College "electrified the room" from the first to the last moment of their act. Holly Fallon was 2nd with Emily Brown in 3rd Place

more Ellie Keys was the worthy winner of our 5th VGT with dance group, Good versus Evil placed second and Laura Alison taking the third place.

more After the success of our first Vale's Got Talent, we entered our second year with much more confidence. Once again the acts presented themselves for auditions and we had some great talent performing, some for the first time, on the stage of Grange Hall

Our First VGT - 2010

more The Vale's Got Talent was conceived by Immediate Past President Denis Bacon. Many of us had serious doubts as to its viability but Denis convinced us that it WOULD BE A SUCCESS. Our first event in 2010 proved him to be correct.....
