Partners - Guest Speaker - Judith Stephens

Our speaker on Thursday 29 August will be Judith Stephens, Events and Fundraising Officer for Southampton Hospital Charity whose aim is to enhance the care and treatment of patients and their families at University Hospital Southampton. There are many individual charities raising money at the hospital and part of Judith‘s job is to make them the most appealing to their particular supporters.

As you probably know a huge amount is raised each year overall, but her responsibility is for the Southampton Hospital Charity. Total £m4.63 raised. She will be telling us how they achieved this colossal sum, and how they are looking ahead to do it again next year. Hundreds of events make this possible. Marathons, celebrity golf, sky dives and even a Safari to Africa and many, many more. Hopefully she will elaborate on some of them. She will mention the support given by local companies whose staff have benefited from treatment at UHS.

As you can imagine, Judith’s time is very precious and we are very fortunate that she has found time to be our speaker. We mustn’t waste it.
