Holiday Bowls Tournament - 5.30 pm at Wilton Bowling Club

Thu, Jul 25th 2019 at 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Our annual Lawn Bowls tournament followed by meal at Mansfield House Hotel

Hawick's Rotarians enjoyed some exercise last week when their annual Lawn Bowls Competition took place on the Wilton green. For several, this was a new experience and of course that is always welcomed. Members played singles and the final then involved three players: Tommy Mulvee, Ron Smith and Jim Walker. In the end it was Tommy who took the trophy. The group then returned to Mansfield House Hotel where they were joined by some of the 'less athletic' members for their weekly meal.

Next week will test athleticism even more as it is the turn of the annual Golf Competition at Minto Golf Club.

The Club's representative at the Rotary Young Leaders' Award course in Perthshire, Kitty Morgan, has been taking part in outdoor challenges this week, in fine weather, and her report on this will be given to members at a forthcoming meeting.
