Ribble Valley Ride 2019

380 cyclist support our joint event with Accrington Rotary!

The Ribble Valley Ride 2019 gets under way!

Organised by Accrington and Clitheroe Rotary Clubs and in brilliant sunshine, 382 cyclist set off on either 100, 60 or 25 mile routes. We hope they enjoyed our legendary refreshment stations and had a safe and enjoyable day.

Can you guess the total miles entrants cycled?

Just for fun... the total mileage cycled by the 382 entrants was... 24,639 miles!! Almost exactly equal to the Earth’s circumference at the equator!

Organisers, Bill Honeywell and Malcolm Baldwin would like to thank  all who entered and supported by helping on the day, and before hand with 1st aid training, baking, marshalling, putting up, holding and taking down signs, staffing food stations plus all the other little jobs that make the day such a success. A special thanks to Hanson Cement for allowing us to use their facilities at short notice. Proceeds go to Rosemere Cancer, Dan's Trust and Prostate Cancer.

See you next year June 14th 2020!
