Business meeting

Our monthly business meeting was held at the Chelmsford Rugby Club
We tried another new venue today. We were at the Chelmsford Rugby Club, in their upstairs bar and lounge area.(See photograph.) Five of our members live within walking distance.
The Treasurer presented the Club and Trust Fund Accounts for the Rotary year to date. We agreed to make the usual donation of £25 per member to the Rotary Foundation and a donation to District Foundation of $250 (yes, that’s right; it is in dollars) to help fund essential medical equipment for the new Mercy Ship, Global Mercy.
The main thrust of both the Membership Committee and the Public Image Committee is at the moment on “Together with Business” Day to be held on 21 November.
Planning for the Frost Fair and the Youth competitions is going well, although volunteers are still needed. Our Autumn Jumble Sale will take place this coming Saturday, 9 November, at Danbury Village Hall.
