Pupils from Lytham and St Annes schools raised £3,000 including gift aided cash to help fund Sand Dams in Africa.

Youngsters enjoyed a very warm sunny day before they broke up for the Easter holiday walking round the grounds of Lytham Hall carrying bottles of water to raise funds.

Thanks to United Utilities and Inenco for providing rucksacks and drinks and healthy fruit snacks.

And special thanks to the schools, teachers and pupils who took part after hearing from Rotarian Robert Dunn about the need for the Sand Dams in Africa.
