World domination for Jane and Durham?

Jane Gibson

Jane Gibson, Durham World Heritage Site Coordinator, described how she helps to ensure the ongoing sustainablity of the site. Unlike many other World Heritage Sites (e.g. Stonehenge), Durham is a 'living' site where people still live, study and worship every day. Balancing modern life and visitors while caring for heritage can be challenging.

Durham World Heritage Site was enscribed in 1986 and continues to grow. More information here: https://www.durhamworldheritagesite.com
