COFFEE IN THE PARK

Wed, Apr 3rd 2019 at 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

The first meeting of the year.
Come to Mesnes Park and sample the delicious cakes made by the ladies of All Saints Church. In aid of Together for Short Lives

The first event of this year was held in Mesnes Park.

A message from the organiser-Joyce Hall:

Many thanks to all those who attended the first Coffee Morning in the Park of 2019. Special thanks to John and Sandra Boydell who came before "kick off " as it were, so that they could do their stint of Church cleaning.

We chose as our charity this month Together for Shorter Lives, a children's hospice charity. We raised £110.50  and together with the £60. 75 we raised at the Christmas Party in the Park last December when the weather was so dreadful, we now have a worthwhile sum to offer Together for Shorter Lives.
Hopefully our next Coffee Morning in the Park will be held on Wednesday 1st May and will be in aid of Meningitis UK after the nephew of the former Vicarage (and Parish Hall) cleaner suffered  from bacterial meningitis and was extremely ill. Thankfully Harry is now well on the way to recovery.
